DOMINO SAYS: GO PINK FOR OCTOBER!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To learn all about it, here's the link for "Go Pink".

Domino wants to help bring attention to this on behalf of every lady and ladycat in the world. (And men too, because they aren't exempt from it.)

Even though she doesn't like to do it, she has agreed to model in her new pink kitty outfit in support of "Pink for October". Hopefully, Domino's sacrifice will be your gain.

Our friends Gandalf, Grayson and Whitey and Milo and Alfie are all supporting Breast Cancer Awareness so we wanted to help out a little, too, by posting these links. All cancer needs to be stamped out -- and soon!

Domino says: "It never hurts to "Think Pink" (except when your mommy puts you in a dress). So, since most of you don't have to worry about that, GO PINK FOR OCTOBER!

I would like to dedicate this post to my special friend, Barb, who is a breast cancer survivor for more than five years now! She's a wife, a mother to a small boy and two floofy cats, Nurse of the Year at her hospital, humorist and photographer extraordinaire, and an all-round fantastic person! She's a wonderful testimony to the survivability of this disease. Go Barb!

Hi Wendy,

Dad has made the flat cat of Alfie (it’ll be pictured on the blog tomorrow) BUT he used A4 photographic paper because it was all his printer could cope with. So the upshot is the flat cat of Alfie is NOT full scale. Mine won't be full size either.

Mom said if you make Dommy’s A4 scale too ~ then it will save money and your flat-cat and my flat-cat will be the right size for each other. Wot do yoo think?

Love Milo xx

Domino, you look lovely in your pink hoodie! You're very brave to don the clothes when you don't like to.

And yay for Barb! We don't know her, but anyone who beats cancer has got to be cool.

It may only be human breast cancer awareness month, and we've added a banner to our bloggie in support -- but we really support all cancer awareness, whether it be breast cancer or another kind, human or kitty. We certainly hope to count our Bugsy among the kitty cancer survivors for a long long time!

Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

Domino you look great in your pink dress! We are doing pink for October too (it is a cause near to me because my mom passed away from breast cancer) and we love how many kitties are doing it too!!

Plus, we love seeing you in cute outfits - that is always a bonus!!

Wendy,
I am so touched by your sweet and wonderful post. It is so meaningful to me and others this month. Although I did send you a personal email, everyone must know understand the kindness you have extended me which had indeed enhanced my recovery in a positive way. My purring Busby was at my side for the duration of my treatments. Tiki was brought in as a caregiver support for Busby shortly after treatments were completed, plus she was too darn cute to leave at the shelter.

Knocking all the flowery stuff aside, all cancers simply suck and present some scary crap to deal with at any level.

Bring on Domino with her Pink Kitteh Warrior suit!

Thank you!

Barb
