Domino is indeed a study in opposites.
She can be very prim and proPURR ...
... or a slinky, sexy showstopPURR!
Following is a short anecdote which really demonstrates her PURRsonality:
This is Domino in her new "Gold Digger" club dress. We had just received it in the mail and she tried it on. Just then the salesman arrived with the contract for our new furnace. He and my husband went into the dining room to sign the papers.
Domino was staring and staring, as you can see in this picture, and eventually wandered over to check out what was going on. First she jumped up onto a chair, and then onto the table, and lay down right on top of the contract papers. The salesman's pen was poised to write, but Domino was smack dab in the way.
Luckily, he was a cat lover, and just laughed and gave her pats. Domino is not afraid of any stranger, and is very nosy, so she will immediately investigate. She MUST be the center of attention, and she certainly knows how to grab it. Attention, that is -- as well as a few other things, as you'll see next ...
Company comes for dinner, and Domino 'sticks' real close. A little too close for their comfort. She always extends her claws and gets stuck in people's clothing. My clothes all have little pinprick holes from where she has attached herself. Here, my brother, Barry, is trying to extricate himself from her clutches.
Once Domino decides to retract, the situation turns serene and the tuxy diva settles in for some lap time.
Here's another time, where Daddy picked up Domino and really got hooked!
Daddy's trying to avoid her prickly points!
Those toe claws are just poised to latch on!
Also, Domino doesn't take to being posed. She wants to do it herself. She's a very independent sort, you know. My friend Susan is learning what Domino will and won't allow.
And here is Domino as sweet as can be. Just the picture of PURRfection. You have to show one side to truly appreciate the other.
Here, Domino is cooPURRating with Dante in the hunt for the chipmunk. Our front steps have sunk, creating a gap on the porch where the chipmunk is hiding.
In an instant, Domino decides to stake her claim, and Dante gets a whapping!
To sum it all up, Domino is strong and independent, but can be sweet and clingy, also.
Like her tuxy coat, she has two sides -- the black and the white. The devil and the angel.
It's what you call TUXITUDE! And Domino has it in spades.
I think the only thing that has saved Milo so far, is that he is a tuxy, too.
We think the faces your daddy was making in those pics was quite funny. Not so funny to have claws digging into you, though. :-)
Domino, you're a multi-faceted, wonderful ladycat!
Domino you are such a cutie and we agree about the tuxietude - we see it at our house with our tuxies too! You are very cute in your gold digger dress though we think you are probably not one, it is still adorable on you! And we have had claw problems at our house too - mom gave up on trying to have snag free pants (and it is why she wears sweats a lot at home - they don't snag like her other stuff). And we love that you are nosey and willing to go up to strangers at home - you are a very brave girl!
We think you are a great tuxi cat Domino. You are multifaceted!
Tuxitude! I loves it. Domino you rock :)
Hee hee hee! That was an amusing post! We get stuck on stuff, too. Domino is living up to the name "Ladycat"!
Great post and photos; we think you are an awesome, beautiful girl, Domino=we love all of you!!...Happy day, sweet friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, sukki
Claws in clothes are not fun! Great post on Domino showing her many sides!
We think Domino is fantastic whatever mood she happens to be in!!!
As I like to say she is "Total Tuxie Goodness" :-)
I LOVE all the different sides of Domino! She is PURRfect for me!
Yes, Daddy was funny! WE have all been there! Great personalities on you girl. Love the whapp!
Domino is quite the personality! When it comes to having to check out visitors, she and Binga are a lot alike!
you go, sister!!!
Having many sides to your purrsonality will keep the mancats interested Domino.
MOL & LOL! Domino, you are quite the Cat. Mommy is learning (from Salem) that Tuxie Cats have their own PURRsonality, just like Ornj, Tortie, or Whitester kitties.
Grayce giggled at your pointy pictures, she does that alla the time, too.
Momma totally understands -- the duality of the tuxie because I am also like that black and white, angel and devil. Excellent post!
Alla Momma's clothes have holes in them, Domino! Gray must be the Tuxie all mixed up into one!
Domino, I can learn a lot from you. Especially in regards to keeping Harley in hand.
Domino, you are such a little love!! You got us all swooning.
What about her shades of gray? Is there a comPURRmise between WHITE and BLACK?
