3-D CATS IN HATS ON WEDNESDAY

Domino, Dante and Dylan are happily wearing hats on hump day.  They really look forward to the days they can dust off their headwear (and their humps) and pose for the camera.

Domino brightens her own day in this hot pink woven hat with millinery roses.  Her dazzling jewels play on the same vibrant tone while adding a cooler touch of blue and white.

"Is eazy ta peacocky wen yoo looks as gorjuss as me!", she exclaims with confidence.

Dante must beeware of what he's wearing because it seems to have attracted some bees!  His black straw fedora with funky orange, black and yellow hatband may have done the trick.  The bees probably think Dante is just one of their own.  Dante thinks otherwise.

"Jus' call me honey!", says he.

Dylan chose to don this Stetson with Native American theme along with his bullish bolo tie.  There's nothing like a steer to help you navigate a cattle drive -- even if said drive is in your dreams.  As long as you have a dreamcatcher, you're sure to be a winner!

"Winnah, winnah, beef dinnah!" exclaims Dylan happily.

DOMINO ON THE PURR-OWL!

Today Domino is modelling her new dress.  She absolutely loves this one!

"I luvs it becuz dere's owls on it", she says excitedly.  "Owls is birdies, yoo noe!"
Domino is a hoot in this turquoise number with polka dots at the neck and dark brown trim.  She has a beautiful bluish bow on her head and a pretty pink pendant at her throat.

And on her back is a large brown owl!

The turquoise and brown are also accented by an under-layer of pink tulle on the skirt and, on top, pink blossoms on tree branches where some smaller owls are PURRched.

"OK, enuff wif da modullin'" says Domino.  "I'm off ta hunt owls!"

"Dis is wot I calls a PURR-OWL -- cuz I'm PURRowlin' fur OWLS!"

After PURR-OWLing her own yard with no luck, Domino is off across the street to check out our neighbours.

"Nope, no owls in dere", she says dejectedly.

And then suddenly, as if out of the blue (which is quite likely, actually), a brown owl appears before her -- and it's waving hello!

Domino simply can't believe her eyes!
"Dis wun's all in a flap about sumfin", she remarks.

But before she could pounce, the owl had flown off -- in one fell swoop!

All that Domino had left was her broken dreams and a single feather.
"Dis a wot I calls FOWL play!" says she.

Domino dragged her sorry ass back across the street in defeat.

And when she got home -- right back where she started from -- there was a big surprise awaiting her.

Owl was not lost.  Someone, much cagier than she, had caught the wily wanker!  OWLaylooya!!!

And this is the end of the tale.
Domino was left to wonder WHOO did this but the owl could only ask WHY.

A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY WITH DANTE AND DYLAN: ONE SMALL STEP FOR FELINEKIND

One at a time, that is.

Dante is on lookout when he sees ...

... Dylan venturing out into the vast green spaces.

It is a veritable no-cat's-land between home and the outer reaches.

Dylan is being ever-so-cautious, as Dante cheers him on.

"Yoo go, boy!" shouts Dante, at which point ...

... Dylan makes a hard left turn into uncharted territory.

And that's when he makes a close encounter of the 'turd' kind!

Yikes!!!

When Dante told Dylan to go -- he actually went!

DYLAN: HEAD SHOTS

It's rare to get shots of Dylan without a look of alarm on his face and his ears going all wonky. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to get not only one of him looking ever-so-handsome, but four (count 'em) four at one go!

Here are the results.

 Dylan full on!

 A new side of Dylan!

 Dylan intent!

Dylan out of tent!

I wonder what he sees.

Well, that explains efurrything!

3-D SUNDAY CHAPEAUX: MULTI-COLOURED MAYHEM IN AUGUST!

Dante is the talk of the forest in his brightly-hued seersucker flatcap and harmonious bowtie.  It's such a FUResh look for summer and the PURRples PURRactically pop against his native orange!

It seems Dante's fashion forwardness has CATapulted him into the limelight -- or more specifically, in his case, into the ULTRA VIOLET light!

Why he's PAWSitively Psychedelic!

Dylan is very dapPURR in his navy striped trilby hat banded with white rope.  His navy tie has bounteous butterflies in purples and greens.  It seems that his tie (and the fact that he's sitting smack dab in the middle of the garden) has caused a real flap amongst all of the actual butterflies.  They are attracted to him likes moths to a flame!

"Wen it comes ta buttahflies", says Dylan "I has hit da MOTHerlode!"

Dazzling Domino is a vision in turquoise.  She has donned her new frock, which she will model exclusively in a post on this blog in the near future.  She searched high and low (on eBay) and  found the absolute best bonnet to bring the outfit together.  Not only did she "Buy It Now", but she got it for a very good PURRice!

Domino may be humming the blues, but she's really in the pink with her floral tribute, today, don't you think?

But when all is said and done, Domino is still the most beautiful bloom of all!

"Dat may BEE", asserts Queen Domino, "but jus' remembah -- I may be bootiful, but I'm no bloomin' idiot!"

DANTE MAKES LIGHT OF IT BUT DOMINO'S STILL IN THE DARK!

Dante and Domino are on the front porch steps at sunset.  The light and shadow are echoed by the cats, themselves.  Dante being the light, of course, and Domino being the dark.

"I has my eye on the PURRize!" says Dante.

And then it's a head-turning moment!

Soft little whisPURRs lead to ...

 ... feline warm and fuzzy!

Dante makes light of it, but Domino's still in the dark!

And in the end OpPAWsites really ...

 ... don't attract!

Keeping a PAWlite distance ...

 ... they admire the view!

In the end, Dante and Domino still love each other but just can't see eye to eye on things anymore.

But that's OK because two PURRSpectives are better than one, n'est-ce-PAW?
