A NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION WITH DYLAN & HALLE

It's New Year's Eve, and Dylan and his ladycat Halle are 'headed off' to a party at a New Orleans restaurant called 'Gautreau's'.  There will be dinner and dancing, so it's quite a fancy affair.  Gautreau's is well known, in Louisiana, for it's fine cuisine.

Dylan is dressed in his new black velvet suit, which is studded with rhinestones.  His shirt is peachy-pink and he is sporting a silver bowtie with salmon-coloured accents to complement it.  Yes ladies, real mancats DO wear pink (and derivatives thereof)!  Dylan has 'cuffed' himself with sterling silver fleur-de-lis-engraved links in tribute to the French cuisine he hopes to sample tonight.

Halle is wearing an Oriental silk dress with a mandarin collar in royal blue with bright pink flower detail.  Simply stunning!  She has accessorized with sterling silver accents such as Japanese hairsticks, dangle ball earrings and a matching bracelet which tinkles ever so softly as she walks along.

With their stellar PURRSonalities and shiny bling, these two really sparkle!

Shortly after they arrive, Dylan and Halle are seated at a table for four with another young couple.  It seemed they had a lot in common, as there was definitely no dearth of conFURSation.

The waiters presented them all with menus, and there were four different choices for dinner, each of which included an apPETizer, main course and dessert.

Dylan and Halle both chose the "Dinner #1" because it had their favourite 'seefood'.  They joked "When we see food, we eat it" (an oldie but a goody)!  And they also had one of their favourite desserts -- creme brulee.  They couldn't have planned it any better!

If you want to see the food they're eating, take a good look at the "Sauteed Shrimp", "Parmesan-Crusted Halibut with Lemon-Beurre Blanc", and the "Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee".  Doesn't it just make your mouth water?

Heaven knows, both Dylan and Halle were salivating both before and after tasting these 'suckulent deliCATcies'!

After dinner, the tables were cleared away to make more room for all the couples to dance.  The music was bright and lively, as was the general atmosphere.  There was such an upbeat feeling to the night -- so much hope for the future!  It wouldn't be long before the Year 2013 made it's debut.

Dylan and Halle were all ready for the ball to drop.  They had on their 2013 speCATcles, their New Year's balloons tied to their tails, and their noisemakers at the ready.

The instant the clock hit midnight, Dylan threw away his glasses, turned to Halle on bended leg (ouch!) and popped the question!  Halle was temPURRarily speechless.  Dylan took the opportunity to take the box out of his pocket and present her with a blue velvet and diamond engagement collar.  The diamonds formed a bow in the front.

This was enough to shake Halle out of her reverie and she shouted "Yes!" at the top of her lungs.  She wanted to make sure Dylan could hear her over the roar of the celebrating crowd.  No one was more surprised than she.  Dylan popped the cork soon after popping the question and now both Halle and her champagne were bubbling eFUR so eFURvescently.  Dylan was simply ecsCATic!

There were fireworks both outside and inside their hearts that night!

Halle's mind flashed back to when she first met Dylan in February 2012.  He had seen her blog and asked for her phone number and they chatted for hours and hours every day.

And then they finally met in PURRSon on Febuary 17, 2012 and that's when they first kissed.

Dylan had come down for Mardi Gras, so they had a grand old time.  They were both 'bead-decked' to the nines!

Dylan continued to go back and forth between his house and Halle's.  By March, they had fallen in love!

In July, they attended the Olympics together in London, England, along with a group of their friends including Milo and Domino and Alfie and Cory.

Then in August, they PURRticipated in Brulee's Birthday Circus.  Dylan was the magician, and Halle was his lovely assistant.

In October, they celebrated their 9-month anniversary by going to "Paparazzi's" for a spaghetti dinner.  It was very romantic.

Then at the end of October, they dressed up as a gangster and his moll to attend a swanky Hallowe'en party with Dante and Sascha, and Domino and Milo.  What fun they had!

And just last week, Dylan and Halle spent their first Christmas together with Halle's family in Louisiana.

"We've been through so much together!", exclaimed Halle.  "And now we'll be together FUReFUR!"

Dylan and Halle only have eyes for each other.  This is what true love is all about!  They have so much to look forward to.  It's a brand new year, and a brand new start in life for them both.

Won't you join in wishing the happy couple ...

... and ...

And they wish you, too, a very Happy 2013 from start to finish!

P.S.  Later that night, Dylan and Halle wanted some PURRivacy and we really didn't want to disturb them, but ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE 3-Ds, WHEREVER YOU ARE!

It seems to be a Cat Couples Christmas this year ...

Domino is spending Christmas with her PURRSonal Santa, Milo!

Dylan is spending Christmas with his sweetheart, Halle!

And Dante is spending Christmas with his newly minted fiance, Sascha!

If you want to witness the actual PURRposal, go and see "Christmas Day with Dante & Sascha -- This Is It!"

So unfortunately, the 3-Ds Mama and Papa are spending their Christmas completely catless.  Such a sad state of affairs.  On the other paw, there won't be any begging for turkey, or jumping on the dining room table, or chewing the strands of lights, or ....

But in every Cat Mama and Cat Papa's life there comes a time when you have to let go, and give your cat more independence.  Still, we can't wait to have our three back, along with their signifiCAT others, to hear all about their Christmas CATventures!

A 3-D CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

The 3-Ds had the first of their Christmas parties this season on Saturday.  It was a Christmas Dessert party for some of Mama's lady friends.  But, of course, the kitties were intricately involved, as they are with any affair going on in their house.

Dylan checked everything out before people arrived.  He generally likes to keep a low PURRofile, but makes an appearance later.

Dante made sure it was all good from his PURRspective!

And Domino readied herself to greet the guests.

First to arrive was Auntie Susan, but then she just lives across the street.

After Susan was seated, Domino took a lap of her own on top of Daddy.  Notice Daddy has a light-up tie, that even flashes off and on in four different patterns!  Daddy's a real good sport.

Then Auntie Renate arrived, and Domino showed her to her seat.  Such a good hostess!

It wasn't long before Dante got into the act, too, because he could hear the treat bag open.  They don't get treats on a regular basis anymore, so this was really special!

Dante thought cozying up to the guests might get him a few more!  Treats that is, not greets.  But greets is what he got this time.

Then we went into the dining room where we had tea and desserts.  Susan seems to be enjoying hers!

And so is Renate, who has taken a sample of each one.  She has an authentic French chocolate mousse which is flavoured with orange, one of the cookies, a slice of the cake and a sliver of the tart.

These are the 'Chocolate Cherry Chews', which are chocolate cookies with chocolate chips.  The cookie itself is flavoured with cherry juice, and there's a cherry buried in each one.  The cookie is also sprinkled with icing sugar, and then iced with a dollop of chocolate icing.

This is the 'Cranberry Almond Shortbread Tart" which is yummy and very tart indeed!

These are the mini-bundt cakes.  They are 'Pumpkin Pecan with a Caramel Glaze" and decorated with a candied whole pecan.  Spicy and moist!

At one point Domino decided she would rejoin the party, and indulged in a little milk on the side. As for the desserts, Susan liked the cranberry tart the best.

Renate loved the chocolate mousse most of all ...

... and Daddy's fave was the bundt cake!  Each to their own, as they say.

After dessert, we settled into the family room to watch episodes of "Miranda".  Miranda Hart is a British actress/comedienne who has her own series.  We watched three half-hour shows, including her Christmas episode.  What a hoot!  I highly recommend it.

As promised, here's Dylan again.  He likes to get drive-by pattings from all the guests when we're in the family room.

And then it was over.  The guests went home, the fire was dying down, and Domino had taken off her hostess gown.

Everyone had such a good time, but it makes me wonder if they would have enjoyed it quite so much if they had seen what took place on the dining table just hours before.  Domino was taking a bath.  At the very least you have to say she's got style!

SO FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS, HAVE A VERY ...
